Dr. Burdge is the Board Certified Podiatrist For You
Dr. Scott Burdge has been practicing podiatry for more than twenty years. As a Board Certified Surgeon, he is well versed in every foot surgery imaginable.
After earning his degree at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco in 1995, he completed his first surgical residency at the University of Texas at San Antonio Medical Center which is also one of the world's top programs for treating diabetic foot problems. His second residency was completed at the VA in Salt Lake City where he was able to work in coordination with Dr. Michael Lowe the podiatrist for the Utah Jazz.
In 1998 Dr. Burdge joined forces with Dr. William VanPelt, a 30 year veteran in podiatric sports medicine and surgery in west Houston. Soon after that time, a new branch was opened in Katy by Dr. Burdge. A couple years later, Dr. VanPelt retired and Dr. Burdge took over the practice.
As a father of three, and a member of a family oriented community, he has treated countless pediatric patients. As a surgeon he is probably the most experienced physician in the area for performing the most common outpatient pediatric procedure. If your child is fearful regarding an ingrown toenail procedure, or just about seeing the doctor, please let us know of your concerns prior to your arrival, so we can be as prepared as possible to address you and your child's needs.
Each patient is important to Dr. Burdge. That means he's not going to immediately recommend surgery if that isn't in your best interest. He will always steer you toward more conservative treatment first. He does his best to listen and be thorough. Details can make a big difference. If you have specific concerns of any kind, please let us know.
In his free time Dr. Burdge enjoys his four grandkids, being involved with his church, supporting Boy Scouts, history - especially Roman, old movies and fast cars.
